STRUCTURE
The Structure of the Business System is part of the Positional Field of the business, at a tactical level.
It is composed by the Actors and the Values they process and/or exchange.
Actors
The Bm2 defines 3 categories of Actors, based on their relation with the Values in the Business System:
- Value Manager: The Value Manager is the organization, central actor of the Business System and composed by several Divisions.
- Value Sources: Actors playing the role of transaction counterparts for the Organization, providing (non-cash) value to it.
- Value Targets: Actors playing the role of transaction counterparts for the Organization, receiving (non-cash) value from it.
These 3 categories define roles of economic entities in the Business System, not their nature: the same economic entity can be at the same time a Value Source and a Value Target.
Values
The Bm2 defines 3 categories of Values, based on their functions in the Business System:
- Operational Value: The Operational Value is consumed, incorporated or exploited by each business process.
- Target Value: The Target Value is delivered to the Targets.
- Financial Value: The Financial Value is the monetary part in some transactions.
